Type 99 Arisaka Rifle Project
This is my latest foray into modeling props and assets for games in Maya. For this project, I had two aims the first was to practice modeling more organic shapes. This can be seen in the shaping work put into the stock of the rifle. The second was to gain experience modeling assets at a higher fidelity and attention to detail. For this project in particular I attempted to recreate the historical rifle as closely as possible. This quest for historical accuracy was aided by the exhaustive use of reference images and historical blueprints in order to create a faithful model.
