Cromwell Tank Project

This was my first serious attempt at creating a 3D model in Maya. I started modeling this tank as part of a school project. One of the defining limitations of the assignment was the stipulation that there could only be a maximum of 5000 tris. Counting tris or triangles is a way of counting polygons in Maya. A helpful reference is that one square polygon is made up of two tris Maya. This project taught me valuable techniques in reducing polygon counts to create high-performance low-poly models for games. This project was also my first attempt at texturing my models. I will be the first to admit that my texturing skills have a long way to go, but in the future, I intend on making more serious attempts at texturing my models.
